National Sales Manager

Our client Local Group currently looking for a National Sales Manager to be based in their Oman/Muscat Office. The role encompasses a wider coverage at national level on Retail sales, Commercial sales, Fleet sales, Used cars and customer relations, in addition to general day-to-day administration of the showroom. With a strong knowledge of local automotive industry and ability to lead a team of young sales professionals.
Your main acheivments in this role will be to ensure the sales, turnover and cost targets in the short, medium and long term through creating new and maintaining existing customer relationships and achieves agreed profit targets. In order to ensure integrated and customer oriented dealership processes, liaises regularly with the respective interfaces and customizes his target oriented actions. Responsible for breaking down corporate targets into clearly structured departmental and employee targets and ensures their achievement.Your responsibilities will also include, but not limited to the following tasks and duties Vehicle Sales National level Ensure the effective achievement of all sales initiatives by leading respective sales teams across the nation covering the Retail sales, Fleet sales and Commercial sales and achieves the target in order to maximize the Company's margins and revenues.
Retail Sales - Ensure achieving retail sales initiatives by leading respective sales teams in achieving targets that maximize the Company's overall Business objectives.To manage the mix and specification of new products based on sales trends, local market intelligence, allocation of targets to each Sales team.
Fleet sales - Coordinate with the Head office Fleet sales department and ensures activating Fleet sales initiatives to maximize Fleet Sales volume and provide support for advance planning for vehicle ordering.
Commercial Vehicle Sales - Maximise commercial opportunities through developing and implementing effective and consistent events and campaigns.
Responsible for reviewing sales prospects commercial sales deals in order to achieve sales targets in line with business objectives.Actively participate in promotional events e.g., road shows, gala dinners, award nights etc., to network with corporate and high net worth potential customers who can be captured as revenue generating customers.Organization Develop standards andor realise manufacturer standards in agreement with the management in the form of handling instructions or working directives, respectively, with which the agreed targets can be achieved. The basis, in this case, are the job descriptions for all employees and descriptions of working processes and conduct directives within the sales department and especially for the trade in of used cars. Ensures transparency of the sales processes and targets defines the interfaces between his department and the service and parts departments and ensures a quick flow of information, so that all the persons responsible are informed optimally in the interest of the company.
Leadership - Ensure the effective implementation of business strategy through leadership of the sales team across the nation - setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved.
Marketing and PR - Assist in corporate wide marketing and PR initiatives, by conducting market visits and developing innovative approaches to create awareness and increase visibility of respective brands in the market. Draws up a business plan in agreement with the management in which the effect of overall marketing strategies is defined for the sales department. Ensures the realization of active marketing in accordance with the marketing mix by furthering the degree of awareness and the image of the dealership. Initiates and controls all advertising and PR-effective measures in agreement with management. Ensures that sales executives carry out regular competition analyses in their market analysis area, summarizes the results and, if necessary, introduces corrective measures in agreement with management. Responsible for an efficient use of all customer acquisition, management and retention systems. This includes a sales management system (as part of a dealer management system), the planning and controlling of customer contacts and the execution of customer events. Analyses market and competitors with regards to alternative sales channels within the market analysis area for new and used vehicles and suggests respective sales strategies to the General Management. This is especially valid for fleet customers, where he has to provide staff capacity for the prospecting, offering and management of customer relationships.
Customer Management - Check customer prospect register of each sales executive on regular basis in order to monitor customers met by sales team (walk-in phone calls). Tracking leads generated by the team and ensure that the customers are pursued by the team to close the deal.
Delivery - Leads and directs timely preparation of all delivery related documentation and handover of vehicles to the customer as per the given commitment and service level standards adopted by The Company.
Relationship Management - Develop and maintain excellent relationships with corporate clients and assign dedicated teams for valued clients and if required handle government tender clients personally.
Staff requirements, sales processes, training and assessment - Identify the requirement of additional staff for sales operations. Monitor and improve sales processes. Ensure training is given to Sales Team on various products and customer offerings to enable them to effectively address customer queries so as to increase sales.Team Building Develop functional work teams and support cross functional teams in order to stimulate team work and obtain synergies utilizing the individual strengths and potential background of individual team members.
Omanisation - Ensure Omanisation target is achieved by constantly tracking Omanisation percentage against the set target and communicate to respective GMs of their achievement.
Stock Inventory - Ensure that inventory is optimum in meeting sales targets and business objectives and initiate corrective action in remedying of the variance.
