Accountant Required in Dubai


 We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant with a solid background in bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, and UAE taxation. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional accounting and tax compliance services to our clients, while also providing valuable advisory support.


Functional Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping and Accounting:

· Issuing tax invoices, matching with receipts, and performing periodic reconciliation of accounts receivable.
· Recording supplier invoices and ensuring timely payment to suppliers, along with periodic reconciliation.
· Managing petty cash disbursement and receipts, conducting periodic reconciliation.
· Facilitating payments processing via the client’s bank account and conducting periodic bank reconciliation.
· Preparing and processing payroll via Wage Protection System, including computation and accrual of end-of-service benefits.
· Conducting month-end closing procedures to ensure accurate and complete recording and accounting of all transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses.
· Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide valuable insights to the client’s management for decision-making purposes.

2. Tax Compliance and Advisory:

· Undertaking the registration of clients for VAT and corporate tax purposes.
· Preparing and filing quarterly and annual business tax returns (e.g., VAT and corporate tax).
· Providing tax advice on general tax requirements in the UAE and specific transactions.

3. Assistance with External Audit:

· Assisting clients in preparation for external audits and coordination with the auditors.
· Conducting the review of financial statement and other financial information to ensure compliance and accuracy.
· Liaising with auditors, providing necessary documentation, and responding to queries.

4. Consultancy and Training:

· Providing advice on accounting software selection, implementation, and training (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks).
· Offering advice and guidance on accounting and internal control procedures.

To qualify for the role, you must have:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant degree
· 3 - 5 work experience as an Accountant in the UAE
· Practical knowledge UAE VAT laws
· Excellent knowledge of general accounting framework and principles
· Hands-on experience with accounting software like Zoho Books and QuickBooks
· Advanced MS Excel skills and fluency in MS Office
· Work experience in corporate services or similar business is an advantage.
· Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
· Additional certification (ACCA, CPA, or CMA) is an advantage.
